Job Purpose (Accountability)

The Flight Operations Engineer is responsible for providing safe and efficient technical support data, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations (CAAT) and maximising business benefit, in Aircraft Performance and Operational Engineering

Duties / Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all airport database of Airbus and ATR in PEP/SPS performance ground tools are correct and maintain up to date
  2. Create and maintain data up to date and publish Runway Analysis Manual (RAM) for all operating airports and destination alternates airports
  3. Customize and Maintain update the performance application (PA Admin/SPS) to the regulation and company policy and test the accuracy/integrity of data package before distribute to EFB Administrator
  4. Monitor and assess NOTAM from ATS unit that affect to aircraft performance and notify to Flight Dispatcher to aware and brief to flight crew
  5. Ensure all new weight, re-weight and additional equipment of all company aircraft from Engineering are safe and correct.  Calculate, maintain, update data the Aircraft Dry Operating Weight and Index and publish to all Load Control/Flight Dispatch. Maintain and update data in AHM560/565 for all company aircrafts to provide in Load Control system and all concerned
  6. Design load and trim sheet for all company aircraft correctly and publish to load control for weight and balance computation
  7. Monitor and manage aircraft performance degradation of all company aircrafts quarterly for adjustment of flight plans to reflect the deterioration and publish to Flight Dispatcher and Aircraft Engineering to update the flight planning system and FMS PERF FACTOR
  8. Calculate and analyze en-route all new route network in case of aircraft one engine out and rapid depressurization. Create specific for procedure for pilot if required and update in Operations Manuals
  9. Analyse, design, maintain and publish the Takeoff Engine-Out SID (EOSID) and Landing procedures for all company aircraft and all operate airports and update in Operations Manuals and EFB
  10. Provide information and instruction to Flight Crew, Flight Dispatch, and Load Control on aspects of Aircraft Performance and Weight and Balance
  11. Coordinate  with AIRBUS/ATR company relate to software update and any concern of aircraft performance and weight balance and analys and ensure information before publish to other departments
  12. Support Flight Operation Engineering Manager in customization, revision and production in relevant published manuals and support documents such as FOEM, RAM, AHM560/565, Aircraft Dry Operating Weight and Index, EOSID, New Route Analysis
  13. Establish and maintain the MEL for all aircraft type in compliance with MMEL and CAAT requirements, ensuring it contains the preamble, scope, revision status, and rectification programme with intervals not less restrictive than the respective MMEL
  14. Amend and update the MEL for all aircraft type within acceptable timescales following any applicable change to the respective  MMEL
  15. Prepare and submit the MEL for all aircraft type and its amendments for CAAT approval to ensure regulatory compliance

Education

Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Related Fields
